About Sogol

01 / How it began

Born in 1980 in Tehran, Iran, I pursued graphic design despite a lack of passion for the discipline. Throughout my college years, I rebelled against convention, often finding myself in situations I shouldn't be in. In an effort to channel my restless energy, my mother enrolled me in yoga classes, but instead, it became another avenue for self-expression and mischief.

02 / Become a Yogini

Yoga began as exercise but evolved into a deeper connection with the universe, fostering happiness in solitude. It inspired a life of adventure, leading to a solo trip to Thailand to meet a master, where the decision to pursue this lifestyle was solidified.

03 / Journey Continues

Through Yoga, I discovered the importance of self-exploration and understanding my desires. I aimed to overcome fears, face challenges beyond my abilities, and pursue adventurous experiences such as diving, sledding with wild dogs, and sailing in Antarctic storms.

04 / My Vision

As I traveled more, I learned more from nature. I learned that watching your surrounding and experiencing hardships teaches you the best. Slowly this energy made me to think of how I can show my vision to others. My camera became my window to share my experiences.
